The Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA), University of Colombo, successfully conducted a Professional Development Workshop on “Basic Financial Management” for the staff of IHRA, University of Colombo on 19 August 2026 at Lecture Hall No. 01, IHRA, University of Colombo .
The workshop focused on strengthening financial knowledge and enhancing organisational effectiveness through practical understanding of financial concepts, budgeting and cost control, financial decision-making, accountability, transparency, and efficient resource utilisation.
The session was facilitated by Mr. DGCN Bandara, Senior Assistant Bursar (SAB), IHRA, University of Colombo and Mr. KLDG Richmond, Senior Staff Management Assistant, IHRA, University of Colombo.
The programme contributed towards developing the financial literacy and decision-making capabilities of IHRA staff, supporting a more efficient and accountable organisational environment.
