The 14th Director Appointment Ceremony of the Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA), University of Colombo was held at the IHRA premises on 14 January 2026, with the participation of distinguished guests. The ceremony was graced by Kirinde Assaji Thero, Viharadhipathi of the Gangaramaya Temple; Ven. Prof. Agalakada Siri Sumanasara Thero, Professor in Sinhala, Department of Sinhala, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo; and Rev. Prof. Emeritus W. Wimalaratana, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo.
The event was further honoured by the presence of Prof. Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Colombo, former Directors, Dr. Rohan P. Perera, Prof. W. S. Chandrasekara, members of the Board of Management (BoM), and the academic and non-academic staff of the University of Colombo and IHRA.
The ceremony marked the official appointment of Prof. D. A. C. Silva as Director of the Institute of Human Resource Advancement, University of Colombo, and highlighted the Institute’s continued commitment to academic excellence and institutional development.
