International Research Conference on Peace & Development for Science & Management 2013
INTRODUCTION
The Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA) at the University of Colombo showcased this fact to the international community by organizing a one-day international conference titled ‘Science and Management for Peace and Development’ on October 21st at Waters Edge, as a prelude to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in November.
This international conference drew more than 200 delegates, including foreign delegations, High Commissioners, Ambassadors, and professionals. Over 35 research papers were presented, covering a wide range of topics that held significance not only for Sri Lanka but also for the broader global community.
The event aimed to reinforce the message that peace is not only a precondition for development but also a catalyst for unity and progress, transcending geographical, religious, and ethnic boundaries.
