The Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA), University of Colombo, successfully conducted a workshop on “Waste Management in Japan” on 24th April 2026 for the students of the Diploma in Japanese Language program.
The session provided valuable insights into Japan’s efficient and sustainable waste management practices, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility, recycling systems, and modern waste management solutions. Through informative discussions and practical examples, students were introduced to effective approaches that contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable society.
The workshop was conducted by volunteers Mr. Sota Yamashita and Mr. Takahiro Ehara, whose expert knowledge and engaging presentations made the session highly informative and impactful.
This valuable initiative was organized by the Diploma in Japanese Language students, reflecting their commitment to academic enrichment, environmental awareness, and cross-cultural learning.
