As part of the “සුපිළිපන් සංස්කෘතියක් – Clean Sri Lanka” Initiative introduced by Sri Lanka government and directed to the all the Universities by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a Dengue Prevention Programme was successfully conducted today at the Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA), University of Colombo.
The programme was organized by Ms. Tinesha Nanayakkara, Assistant Registrar, IHRA, under the guidance and instructions of the Director, Prof. DAC Suranga Silva, with the objective of preventing Dengue by creating a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the institute premises.
The programme focused on identifying and removing potential mosquito breeding sites, maintaining cleanliness in and around the institute, and enhancing awareness among staff members regarding the importance of dengue prevention measures.
This initiative demonstrates IHRA’s commitment to supporting the national efforts under the “සුපිළිපන් සංස්කෘතියක් – Clean Sri Lanka” Initiative by preventing dengue and promoting environmental responsibility, cleanliness, and a culture of health and well-being among the institute community.
Through such programmes, IHRA continues to encourage active participation and collective responsibility towards maintaining a cleaner and safer environment for all.
