The workshop on “Sounds of Japan: Karuta, Onomatopoeia, and Song,” held on 30 January 2026, provided students with a valuable opportunity to enhance their listening skills, expand vocabulary, and deepen their understanding of Japanese culture through engaging activity-based learning methods.
The interactive session created an enjoyable and dynamic learning environment while promoting practical language usage and cultural appreciation among participants.
The workshop was designed and focused students in enhancing both linguistic competence and cultural awareness through hands-on activities and collaborative learning.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Shiina Iwakura for conducting this insightful and enriching session, which greatly contributed to the students’ learning experience.
