Lectures and Students of M.Sc. in Disaster Analysis, Management and Mitigation Course, went to the Matara beach area, Uma Oya hydro-power site and tunnels Diyathalawa camp site and Piduruthalagala on last Monday, March 11th , to take part in field visit for Participatory Disaster Monitoring.

Students practically Studied on Coastal erosion and precautions, Tsunami affected areas, early warning system and current Geo morphological settings to protect from future Tsunamis, Coastal geology and  Geo morphology, Data collection for social survey at the land subsidence area from the visited sites.
